I tried reporting the bugs to YUI and in some cases supplying fixes but nothing was done. I will investigate at some point as to whether they have been fixed or not. However, I can report that I have since had a lot more success, much quicker, with much less code, using jQuery and plugins such as Nivo or Cycle.
